Ingredients

Swiss cheese (cut into bite-sized cubes)
½ cup All-purpose flour
¼ cup Cornstarch
1 tsp Garlic powder
½ tsp Paprika
Salt & pepper (to taste)
Italian-style panko breadcrumbs
Cold water (as needed for batter)
Oil (for frying)

Instructions

In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, corn flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Gradually add cold water while whisking until a thick but smooth, flowy batter forms.

Dip each cheese cube into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated. Roll immediately in panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently so the coating adheres well.

Repeat the coating process once more for an extra crispy crust, then place the coated cheese cubes into the freezer for about 15 minutes to firm up.

Heat oil over medium heat. Carefully fry the cheese cubes in small batches for 30–45 seconds, just until golden brown and crisp on the outside.
