Ingredients
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease or line your baking sheet. To make it easier, consider using a heart-shaped baking dish to shape the bread.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle. Cut the dough into 20 even squares. Slice the mozzarella sticks into 4 equal pieces each.
- Place one mozzarella cube in the center of each dough square, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Fold the edges of the dough over the cheese, pinching the seams closed, and gently roll each piece into a ball.
- Arrange the dough balls seam-side down on your prepared baking sheet in the shape of a heart. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and 1 tbsp water, then brush the egg wash over each dough ball for a golden finish.
- Bake for 16-18 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted inside. Once out of the oven, brush the warm rolls with melted butter, then sprinkle with fresh parsley and Parmesan. Serve immediately with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce for the perfect cheesy bite!
Note
• Seal the dough tightly around the cheese to prevent it from leaking while baking.
• Make sure all dough pieces are evenly sized so they bake uniformly.
• Place the dough balls seam-side down to help them hold shape.
• Brush with egg wash evenly for a golden, shiny finish.
