Ingredients
For Chicken
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Let the chicken marinate for at least 15 minutes for better flavor.
- Heat 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and sauté for a few seconds until fragrant. Add the chicken pieces and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is slightly burned and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another 1 tbsp butter to deglaze the pan. Add the remaining garlic and chopped onion. Sauté until translucent.
- Stir in chili flakes and oregano, cooking for 1 minute until aromatic. Pour in the milk and add cream cheese. Stir until the cream cheese melts and the sauce begins to bubble.
- Add 1/4 cup of reserved pasta water to the sauce and mix well. Toss in the cooked spaghetti and chicken, stirring to coat everything evenly. Taste and adjust salt if necessary.
Note
• Cook pasta just until al dente so it holds its texture when mixed with the sauce.
• Reserve pasta water before draining, as it helps loosen and smooth out the sauce if needed.
• Keep heat on medium when making the sauce to prevent it from separating or becoming too thick.
• Stir continuously after adding milk and cream cheese to ensure a smooth, lump-free sauce.
