Description

These Garlic Parmesan Hashbrowns are crispy and golden on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and packed with savory garlic-Parmesan flavor in every bite. Baked until perfectly crisp, they're a lighter alternative to traditional fried hashbrowns without sacrificing texture or taste. Whether served as a snack, appetizer, breakfast side, or comforting treat, these cheesy potato hearts are simple to make and impossible to resist.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into large chunks. Parboil them in salted water for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Grate the cooled potatoes and add it to a mixing bowl. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add egg and corn flour and mix well. Stir the parmesan cheese until evenly distributed.
  3. Shape the mixture into thick hearts using heart cookie cutter onto a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze it for 20 minutes.
  4. Bake in preheated oven at 375F for 25 minutes. Broil on each sides after 20 minutes to get the perfect crisp.
  5. Garnish with parsley and grated parmesan and enjoy.

Note

• Let the potatoes cool before grating to prevent a gummy texture.
• Freeze the shaped hashbrowns before baking to help them hold their shape.
• Broiling at the end helps achieve an extra crispy, golden exterior.
• Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
