Ingredients
Instructions
- Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into large chunks. Parboil them in salted water for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Grate the cooled potatoes and add it to a mixing bowl. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add egg and corn flour and mix well. Stir the parmesan cheese until evenly distributed.
- Shape the mixture into thick hearts using heart cookie cutter onto a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze it for 20 minutes.
- Bake in preheated oven at 375F for 25 minutes. Broil on each sides after 20 minutes to get the perfect crisp.
- Garnish with parsley and grated parmesan and enjoy.
Note
• Let the potatoes cool before grating to prevent a gummy texture.
• Freeze the shaped hashbrowns before baking to help them hold their shape.
• Broiling at the end helps achieve an extra crispy, golden exterior.
• Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
